October is one of my favorite months. I like the name of it. I like how the breeze is different. How it smells like Autumn and has a tinge of the winter to come. I like how the trees start to change colors and the energy shifts into a moment of relief after the hot of the summer, before the cold of the winter. Both Spring and Fall are seasons of transformation. Spring is when life explodes out of every possible crevice all around you and Autumn is when it all turns brown, yellow, and red, then goes dormant. Autumn is also when all the creatures start scurrying about, furiously preparing for Winter. They're so busy focusing on that they don't notice you there as much and you get a chance to watch them more. Like how the chipmunks are running around like mad right now. We watch them in the morning when we have our morning coffee. And how the coffee mug is warm and the coffee scented steam is comfortingly bellowing around our faces.
